Sikhs are still being targeted and treated as second class citizens not only in our home nation of India but abroad as well. Many of us live in fear of either being attacked by racist, xenophobic people in the West because of the backlash of 9/11, or we fear our anti Sikh and anti Islamic government of India starting up violence towards the entire Sikh population (again). Now more than ever, it is imperative to amplify Sikh voices. With recent attacks on Sikhs in Canada for example highlighting the consequences of being a religious minority that is overlooked, dismissed, and used as collateral damage.

I am so grateful to be bringing together 11 prominent, powerful, dedicated Sikh artists from around the world to share our experiences and not only heal our community, but to reach out to non Sikhs and bring forward stories that resonate with all marginalized people. We have incredible speakers lined up throughout our 2 month exhibit from all different fields all sharing their experiences as Sikhs in the diaspora.
